We figured out the awning!
Driving down the road the awning, that we haven't been able to figure out, decided to unroll. Now we know how it works!

Congrats! Now be sure to use those de-flapper velcro thingys to keep your awning fabric from blowing around. They really get stretched out if you don't (we seem to have waited to long and now ours is all loose).
It's windy here in New Mexico. Look out for them gusts in your travels, they come from out of nowhere and can tear your awning to shreds!
